La Papietta

This Saturday night we celebrated design at the TEN Show, a joint party hosted by AIGA Chattanooga and Artini, showcasing the best design in Tennessee. A highlight of the evening for me wasn't even in the exhibition. Carrie Walker's paper chandelier hovered like a ghost in the center of the church cum gallery. The paper and steel fixture she calls "La Papietta", a made-up word, is an exploration of chaotic growth whose large scale is balanced by its lightness of materials. View more photos of La Papietta and the party here.

Thanks for the blog! Jason Oaks told me it was here.

Our blog is mostly about sustainable design in the interiors industry,
especially carpet. Sometimes it's just about us. Updated when we've got something good to say.
