Ever since my scooter was stolen I've had "new car fever". I guess the PC thing to do is go for a Prius but, tbh, I'm interested in more than operational fuel efficiency — I'm the kind of guy that gets excited about the recycled content of seat fabric. So VW piqued my interest today. According to Automotive Design and Production the new cylinder heads of Volkswagen VR6 3.2-liter and 3.6-liter FSI engines are produced with recycled carpet: 75% over-produced fibers and 25% waste fibers, making them stronger and less expensive than conventional materials of the past. If this revs your engine learn about more innovative ways carpet is being recycled here. Thanks to our new "Dr. Tryk" for the heads up.

Take it with a grain of salt… or pepper. This darker side of Google claims to save significant energy simply by not requiring your PC to illuminate as many pixels on the search screen.
Of course we believe paper is a suitable alternative, but you've got to draw the line somewhere. UPDATE: It's a fake…
Our blog is mostly about sustainable design in the interiors industry,
especially carpet. Sometimes it's just about us. Updated when we've got something good to say.
